How are your iman dear MYC-ians? I
hope you still have the great impact of the two sahabats of Rasullullah S.A.W we
talked about last week. Learn their stories and relate them to your lives.:)
This Wednesday insyaAllah, the
topic for MYC weekly meet will be about “F.R.I.E.N.D.S”, but it is far
different from last week’s agenda.
In Islam, our faith is not
complete, and our worship is not sufficient, until we have built the strong
bonds of brotherhood amongst ourselves. To put it simply, You need to have
friends by your side, BUT the friends that will help you get to Jannah. Islam
emphasizes ‘Brotherhood in Islam’ and it can be seen from the Quran and the
sunnah.
The Beloved Prophet S.A.W also said: “A person is likely to follow the faith of
his friend, so look whom you befriend.” (Abu Dawood and At-Tirmithi)
Wouldn’t it be great if you
befriend a person who leads you to Jannah, who helps you through the tests/hardships
in striving for the Hereafter?
“The believers, both men and women, are awlia (helpers, supporters,
allies) to each other.” (Al-Tawbah:71)
Prophet Muhammad PBUH also said: “You will not enter paradise until you
believe, and you will not believe until you love one another.” (Sahih
Muslim)
This Wednesday, we will talk about this kind of friends. Bi Iznillah. So do come and bring your friends! MYC invites all muslimins wa muslimahs of UBD. You wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to improve in being a great friend, would you?
