Other details is still the same. Register at 5pm, 23rd December. A Thursday. A sleepover thing, so please bring in your toiletries, sports attire (a few pairs) and other daily necessities.

By Wednesday, 8AM. Yes, by tomorrow morning. Sorry! Ustazah would like to have the full list by tomorrow so yeah.

It's like summer camp with qiam, talks, workshops, community service, cleaning campaign at the mosques (Masjid UBD & Masjid Al-Ameerah al-Hajjah Mariam Jerudong), berdudun (visit houses), morning exercises etc etc. Practically a lot of things Muslim Youths should be involved in. Talk, interact, help the elders, ziarah, staying healthy and moreee! Bi iznillah.

How's everyone? Hopefully in the best of your Iman towaards Allah, the Prophet, the religion.

We won't have anymore MYC weekly meet this year, insyaAllah. Sad but true, I miss updating the blog for our weekly meets already. Hope everyone won't go astray from what we know, don't be enemies with what we don't know and searchers of truth, not loyal friends to nafs and syaitan. This goes to myself, first and foremost. And then to those reading this.

All the best in your revision for exams, don't forget about your examination during Akhirah as well. Pray, Solat Hajat, as well as solat Taubat. Remember, you ask from Him what you want (by solat Hajat). But you have sinned, yet you do not regret. Perform solat Taubat, insyaAllah will there be no sins to cover your heart from ilm.

Effort is your part. The result comes from Him.

Wish for the best, and do your best to deserve the best :)

Solat Hajat Nov2010

Pada hari Khamis, 11/11/2010 akan diadakan solat hajat bagi mangsa banjir (Selatan Thai), mangsa Tsunami (Mentawai Indonesia) dan Letupan Gunung Merapi (Java Indonesia) bermula jam 5.30 petang.

Pada masa yang sama, solat hajat bagi peperiksaan semester UBD juga akan diadakan yang mana bertujuan untuk memberkati semua pelajar agar peperiksaan akan berjalan dengan lancar.

2010 Finale *sobs*

InsyaAllah, in Allah's permission, next Wednesday we'll have a very last weekly event for this year InsyaAllah. It'll be more light as compared to before, but requires more effort from everyone ;)

Date: 10th November 2010
Time: 2pm-5pm
Venue: Dewan Muzakarah Perempuan, Masjid UBD (just a few meters away from the female entrance to the Mesjid).

The activity is photo-taking! InsyaAllah, we'll reveal how to 'play this game' that day. Please bring your cameras! Or probably just your phone with camera on 'em.

Oh! And everyone is very very very much welcomed to bring in food, or a packet of sweets, or samboi, or a carton of milk. Whatever. Bring them in, insyaAllah let's cherish this one and insyaAllah by His pleasure, we close this semester with a heartwarming moment with the ones who love you i.e. every other members in this club :)

All members and AJKs of clubs under the Exco Keugamaan dan Kerohanian are invited to this event. Please spread the word. Please spread the love.

Alhamdulillah, we've books in our Super-Mini Library that are related to that day's topic i.e. Islam and Science. To name a few, 'Quran Saintifik' by Dr. Danial Zainal Abidin (he once gave a talk during last freshers' orientation) and 'Hebatnya Al-Quran: Jika Kamu Berfikir'.

InsyaAllah, for those who doesn't know where it is, we will have AJKs to help you find it. Prolly we could meet up beside the ATMs and go to IHS together. The AJK will wait until 1.55pm and will be wearing an MYC tshirt, insyaAllah.

Weekly Meet: Syawal final round.

Assalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...

InsyaAllah we'll have our usual weekly meet this Wednesday, 6th October 2010 same time same place. Word from the AJKT, its advisable if you set your time for our weekly meets until 5pm or so, just so that if we do finish up later than 4.30, you won't be anxious. Because we all know, we always do finish up later than that.

Oh and one more thing, since its still Syawal, everyone is invited to bring in their Raya cakes and biscuits and 'minuman tin' to DMP. Jangan bini-bini saja, laki-laki jua lah ah. Pass arah AJK, then we'll kumpul and bagi or pass around during our sharing session, InsyaAllah.

Anyhoooo, insyaAllah as usual, there'll be a meet this Wednesday at 2pm, sama place i.e Dewan Muzakarah Perempuan (DMP). We regret that some members are divided between coming to other EKK clubs and ours because of the same time of activity.

Registration time: 4.30 pm - 5pm

Dewan Asrama Perempuan (DAP) for female participants

Things to bring (which isn't that obvious):

• Sleeping bag
• Al-Quran/ Tafseer
• Buku Zikir/ Ma'thurat
• Basic necessities (Toiletries, clothes etc)
• Small notebook
• Snacks (for your own and sharing)

That's basically it! InsyaAllah, may Allah be pleased with our ibadah :)

The MYC Super Mini Library is open!

MYC is Alhamdulillah glad to announce that our MYC super mini library is now open!

Located in the Green Room, at the HEP building, above the Taman Selera cafeteria. It is now open from UBDians who wish to borrow books from our collection, our AJKs are ready to serve you from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm insyaAllah :))

At the mo, there's only 40+ books available Alhamdulillah. The collection consists of books by the State Mufti, famous authors and publishers and latest novels. InsyaAllah as we increase the number of books in our library, and get more reference books, we'll hold a launching ceremony InsyaAllah. Help us add up to our collection by donating books related to Islam, motivation or anything! Contact our working AJK by coming over to the library or leave us inquiries on the comment's section on this blog post, we'll forward you the contact details of our Head of Librarian.

Oh, btw jazakumullahukhayr for those who came and made our visit to the Masjid/ Kubur a success! Our sincere appreciation to Ustazah Ainul for helping us get the oh-so-very comfy room for the sungkai buffet and activities, as well as the UBD bus! Prolly we should have more of these sessions, especially looking forward to the ones where Ustazah makes an appearance ;)

FIRST meet up (Aug/Dec '10 session)

Assalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...

Alhamdulillah the Induction Day was a success I could say, though we regret that some of the interested ones couldn't make it because they have class that afternoon. We had to hold the day on a Monday because we fear that 1st Ramadhan might fall on Wednesday, so yeah ^^,

Nevertheless its still not too late to register to our club! Spread the word! InsyaAllah, we'll be having our first MYC meet this coming Thursday, 19th August 2010. At 2pm, same venue as usual, the Dewan Muzakarah Perempuan at the UBD Masjid. I'm sorry for any confusion regarding the club, it is open for BOTH male and female UBD students, even tho' we're holding it at the Dewan Muzakarah 'Perempuan' :)

InsyaAllah, here I am listing out the highlights of our activities throughout the whole semester (Aug-Dec '10), giving distinction to those who couldn't make it to our 'MYC Induction Day'. InsyaAllah in God's will, we will:

• Ramadhan: 'Ziarah Kubur' near Masjid Jame Asr' (for male MYCians) and sungkai (iftar) together with the people at the Masjid.
• For the female MYCians, we'll visit the RIPAS hospital and help the patients who have trouble with solat and taking the ablution. Ustazah also promised to give us a pre-workshop on this one :D
• Last 10 days of Ramadhan: In conjuction to this, we're planning the annual UBD Qiamullail Programme
• Syawal: Ziarah to MYC AJK and members' houses by bus. SIUK NI!
• Another Syawal celebration in UBD.
• Involved in the Bulan Keugamaan UBD (Sept-Oct) under EKK. Certs will be given. We'll also set up our booth and other stuff there :)
• October: Visit to Taman NurHidayah (female MYCians) and to Pusat Al-Islah (male MYCians)
• Sports Day
• November: Phototaking activity at BSB!
• A talk by one of PDI's officers.

There you go! So don't miss your chance to join us for this exciting semester ahead of us :D InsyaAllah we'll have a motivational camp in December but that's to be confirmed. Doakan kelab kami untuk menjadi yang terbaik :)

Syukran jazakumullah to everyone~ for coming to MYC, to be part of the family, sharing all the moments..the ups-and-downs..

Admittedly i own many weakness ^^, by deed or by word, for as long as I've been vice president. Hope all of those can be forgiven..

2nd last and 'The Last Meet' of 09/10 session

Assalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, am not exactly the person who's time 'diberkati' ;)

Anyhoo, let's not drag too much. InsyaAllah in God's will, we will have a session later at 4.30pm, usual place. Just a short one but let's make it worthwhile, yes? Hehe. And next week, we'll have our last session of this semester, because apparently we all will be having our revision week the week after and our long awaited exams after that xD

Next week, Wednesday at 2.30pm, usual place. InsyaAllah in God's will. Please do come to this session as we will wrap up everything we've done for this year (2009/2010 session) and will be grateful for feedback and suggestions during the sharing session. An AGM of our own ;)

FYI there's a new book stall inside the Giant building, next to Guardian, and it's selling Raheeq Makhtum (The Sealed Nectar), English tafseers and other great writings. Have a visit or two (or three or four.... ) :D

Next Meet and 3rd Netball training

Assalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...

I'm guessing everyone are excited for the talk by our very own Mufti this Wednesday. Alhamdulillah, after a couple other great events for the past few months, 'macam kana manjai kita semester ani' as qouted from our Lil Miss President, Ukhti Tikah ;) Awesome kan cemani ani? Selalu ada orang kan share share! All thanks to Allah :D

Anyhoo, my update this time is on the netball schedule and for our meet next week.

Our netball timetable is fixed to Tuesday afternoons, at the sports complex at 4.30pm, InsyaAllah. It will either be inside the sports hall or at the outdoor court near the tennis courts. Please text me for any inquiries, yes? :)

As for our next meet, you all know the slot for MYC this Wednesday is taken by the talk from the state Mufti, so we're replacing it to Thursday, 4.30pm at the IM room, as usual. We'll try to wrap up everything by 6pm yeah. InsyaAllah. You may expect and plan to perform your Maghrib prayers at the Masjid UBD, just so that you'll be less anxious. Hehe.

Ulum ad-Deen the 2nd

Assalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...

Organised by Unit Keugamaan dan Kerohanian, SAS(HEP) UBD

Abdullah ibn `Umar meriwayatkan, "Dalam suatu peristiwa, Rasulullah s.a.w. terlihat dua buah kumpulan sahabat sedang berada di masjid. Baginda terus bersabda :

"Kedua-duanya merupakan kumpulan yang baik tetapi satu kumpulan adalah lebih baik daripada kumpulan yang satu lagi. Kumpulan pertama berdoa memohon rahmat Allah maka terserahlah kepada Allah sama ada untuk memakbulkan doa mereka atau tidak. Akan tetapi golongan kedua terlibat dengan usaha mencari ilmu serta menyampaikannya kepada golongan yang tidak mengetahui(nya). Malah, aku sendiri dipertanggungjawabkan dengan tugas mengajar."

Setelah berkata demikian, Rasulullah s.a.w. menghampiri majlis yang kedua iaitu majlis ilmu lalu duduk bersama-sama ahli kumpulan tersebut.
